Creating/Adding an Outlook Rule
Many times your e-mail address will get collected by creepy people or spammers that you do not want to receive messages from - these are the steps to take to delete those e-mails so they do not wind up in your Inbox. NEVER open an e-mail from an address you do not recognize!

| The first step to creating a rule is to open Outlook and then navigate to "Tools->Rules and Alerts ..." |

| From the window that appears, select "New Rule... " from the "E-mail Rules" tab. |

| From the window that appears, select "Start from a blank rule", "Check messages when they arrive"
and then select "Next > ". |

From the window that appears, in "Step 1: Select condition(s)" select the checkbox "from people or distribution list" and then
in the "Step 2: Edit the rule description (click an underlined value)" click on "people or distibution list". |

In the window that appears type the e-mail address of the person you wish to block and select the "OK" button
For this example we are blocking any e-mail from "EvilPerson@spammail.com" and you can add as many
addresses as you like by seperating them with a semi-colon " ; " |

| You should now see the address of the person to block listed in the "Step 2..." window. Select the "Next" button. |

From the window that appears, in "Step 1: Select condition(s)" select the checkbox "permanently delete it " and this will
pop up a
warning window, select the "Yes" button. |

| Select the "Finish" button. |

You should see your new rule listed and then just select the "OK" button. All future e-mail from that address will be
permanently deleted. |
