Creating/Adding a POP3 email account in Outlook
The first step to creating an email account is to open Outlook and then navigate to "Tools->E-mail Accounts..."

From the window that appears, select "Add a new e-mail account" and then select "Next > "

From the window that appears, select "POP3" and then select "Next > "

  • Enter the name that you wish to have attached to your outgoing emails in the "Your Name:" field

  • Enter the email address that you will be using for this account in the "E-mail Address:" field
    This should be provided by your ISP

  • Fill in the "Incoming mail server (POP3):" and "Outgoing mail server (SMTP):"
    These should be provided by your ISP but if not, in most cases they will be mail.<site name> or mailhost.<site name>

  • Enter your "User Name:" and "Password:" (again, provided by your ISP)

  • Select the "Remember password" box

  • Select the "Test Account Settings..." button

    If prompted, fill in your information and select the "OK" button

    If all is set up correctly, the following dialog should show successfully and then select the "Close" button

    Select the "Next" button
    step 7



    Select the "Finish" button
    step 8



    Select "Send/Receive" to fetch or deliver e-mail
